Hi I'm Emma Jane!

Born and raised in Toronto. By a Chinese Mother and a German Father.

These are the rules I was taught to live by

Here's my raw and unfiltered story—how I transformed my life through fitness and found my passion for helping others do the same.

2015

I faced a serious trauma that became a catalyst for change in my life. For over seven years, I had been grappling with addiction, which had devastating effects on every aspect of my life—my family, finances, mental health, and overall well-being. I reached a breaking point and decided enough was enough. It was time to turn my life around.

2015 - 2016

My journey to recovery began with a ten-month detox period. During this time, I lost about 50 pounds, dropping to a mere 100 pounds at 5'7". The process was grueling; I could barely hold food down or even walk. However, I gradually started to regain my strength and health.

2016

As I began to recover physically, I attended my first yoga class. This experience was transformative, opening up my spirituality and helping me understand the importance of being part of a healthy community. Yoga taught me that I am seen and heard more than I realize. It reinforced the idea that we matter more than we think and can achieve more than we know.

2016-2019

From 2016 to 2019, I dedicated myself to fitness, attending classes at the same studio five days a week. I pushed my body to new limits and got my nutrition in check. I was 125Ibs, and already a vegan for 2.5 years. This period was crucial in building my physical and mental strength, laying the foundation for my future career in fitness.

2019

I earned my CanFitPro Certification in Personal Training. This milestone marked the beginning of my professional journey in the fitness industry. I started working at a local F45 studio, where I met incredible people and honed my skills as a trainer.

August 2022 - Date

I took a bold step and resigned from my full-time finance job to start my own business—Train with Emma Jane. This decision was driven by my passion for fitness and my desire to help others transform their lives through exercise.

To ensure the best care for my clients, I obtained CPR Level C certification and comprehensive insurance.

I started Train with Emma Jane to be the change I want to see in the industry. With so much misinformation on social media and misleading posts, I believe it's my duty to dispel them and teach women the true approach to being successful in the gym and in your overall routine.

And since starting Train with Emma Jane, I've had the privilege of working with dozens of clients in one-on-one and group sessions. I've witnessed firsthand how a simple fitness routine can transform lives, and I am committed to making a positive impact on every client I work with.

Looks can be deceiving. Before now, I was always complimented for being "skinny," but I knew deep down that I was not feeling my best mentally. Don't assume someone's life is going well or bad based on their body!

I'll be real—there's never a perfect time to start a health and fitness routine. You just have to start! Like any other big decision in life, you just have to go for it because it's something important that you need for your own wellbeing and happiness.
